Northern Territory Screen Industry Visioning Project Strategic Discussion Paper Released
The NTFO has released the first Strategic Discussion Paper as part of the Northern Territory Screen Industry Visioning Project.

Comments on the Discussion Paper are invited until Friday 6 February 2009.  If you would like to comment on the Discussion Paper please e-mail film.office@nt.gov.au with your comments in the body of the e-mail or in a Word or PDF attachment.  Please include your name and contact phone number in case we want to contact you.

All comments will be posted, along with your name and the date and time received.

Please note that we cannot accept or publish anonymous comments.

Bob Plasto Screen Fellowship Applications Open
The NTFO is accepting applications for the inaugural Bob Plasto Screen Fellowship until
17 January 2009.  The Fellowship aims to support the professional development of Territory screen practitioners with a commitment to achieving excellence and innovation in screen practice.  It is named in honor of the late Bob Plasto, a documentary maker and journalist.

Northern Territory Screen Funding Guidelines Released
Guidelines and application forms for the Northern Territory Screen Grants Funding Program are now available to download.

Grants are available for:

Travel Funding:

Funding is available to support Northern Territory screen practitioners with travel costs for professional and business development - to attend Australian and international markets, conferences festivals, screenings, seminars and workshops.

Production/Post Production Funding:

Production/post production funding is available for feature film, drama series, tele-movies, documentaries, animation and digital media productions that have secured the majority of finance and have marketplace commitment.

Industry/Screen Culture Funding:

Funding is available for events and activities that provide a screen experience, and encourage promotion of the screen industry to the Northern Territory public.

Funding is available to provide opportunities for skills training, professional development and network building for the local screen industry.
